Iran flick ‘Millipede’ has entangled audience members in Iranian cinemas just a short while after public release.

The new offering of director Abolhassan Davoudi which recently released a trailer grabbed the audience big time just a few days after public screening.

This comes as Javad Ezzati who starred in many ifilm series, including ‘Huge Problems’, as well as ‘Sweet and Sour’ actor Reza Attaran attended a public screening session held at Tehran Kourosh Cineplex.

A brief synopsis of the flick reads, “Reza, a criminal, finds out that a rich female doctor at war veteran hospital vows to marry a veteran. Reza who is an amputee without a leg wants to marry the doctor. However, things get out of hand in the middle.”

The flick boasts a string of stars such as Reza Attaran, Javad Ezzati, Sara Bahrami, Mehran Ahmadi, Laleh Eskandari and  Shohreh Lorestani.

The helmer has written and directed the movies ‘The Magical Journey’ (1990), ‘Rainy Man’ (1999), ‘Bread, Love and a 1000cc Bike’ (2001) and ‘Intersection’ (2005).

His ‘Rainy Man’ (1999) was nominated for Best Film Crystal Simorgh award at Fajr Film Festival while ‘Crossroads’ (2005) grabbed him a nom for Best Director Crystal Simorgh at the event.

The 33rd edition of Fajr Filmfest granted Best Film and Best Director awards to Davoudi’s ‘Crazy Rook’ (2014).
